They are a solid set of mounts. Very low as jon stated so from an aesthetic point of view they do look a little strange.

However they're designed to hold a scope to the rifle and as jon has said they don't half grip the rail!

They grip well due to the contact area if dovetail is made to suit. They are much deeper by a long way than any other mount I have known to date.
Even the earlier Third Eye grabbed like a sumo wrestler and would put them up against any picatinny mount with rail not only for repeatability but resistance to knocks affected zero. Weaver don't come in to it they are p..s poor reliant on the 90 degree sides, knock scope it peens the rail permanently.

The GEN 2 even come with blackened titanium screws, 5 in each mount worth £40.

Sat on picatinny rail they will add 10.69mm best could measure at the time plus half diameter of scope tube. Some zooms wont fully clear the top of picatinny castellations or dovetail though March are fine.

Personally I will stick with Sportsmatch dovetail on rails 3.6mm deep, more grab than Weaver and able to position scope where needed to get eye relief ie not limited to the 10mm increments and where stuck for space so mounts can only go in one place. Had that trouble when used picatinny on March 80 5 years ago, couldn't get eye relief right either 5mm too much or 5mm too short limited by the castellation positioning.

Gimmee dovetail any day as long as deep cut.
If a jobs worth doing, do it right or not at all.
