Someone asked me via PM: " in what capacity, role and function does Mr. Lassman fulfill at the Home Office :?: ..." , hence below..

"Policy Advisor" , formerly at Dept. for Education..
Policy Advisor.png

Please note years ago when I worked in the City, I started off as an administrator supporting a couple of bosses. Its quite possible when one reads the below address, to be initially impressed. Look closer, and there is no job title to give you an idea to Mr. Lassman's job function and in what capacity; is he a clerk for the unit ? ; then, reconcile with what he previously did at Dept. of Education. So, credentials, credibility, capacity, on who's behalf...all very murky when transparent English is not used to give definitive answers. And actually, WHY IS the Drugs & Firearms Licensing unit, part of the "Crime & Policing Group" giving info. (erroneous & contradictory) pertaining to FOI matters from the Home Office ? (as it is NOT that "Crime Group" which has had face to face meetings in April with the GTA Ltd. - or is it ?)

Drugs and Firearms Licensing Unit

5th Floor, Fry Building
2 Marsham Street
London

OK, now that Ive clarified the above  ...lets get on with it ...

ref: Steyr LP50 & Steyr Hunter 5 Semi Auto - both rifled barrels....under 6 ft/lb & 12 ft/lb respectively

Mmm....I wonder which side, in terms of Policy and UK law, affects the the pistol & rifle.

OUTRIGHT BAN - ILLEGAL to own in UK ?

or

OUTRIGHT LEGAL, KOSHER TO IMPORT, OWN, USE in UK ?

It is strange , the LP50 is "Ok" in UK (or not) imported as far back as 2009 through UK agent, but for some reason, the rifle equivalent, It has been claimed by others..a big "No, no.."

Double standards ? or something else to do with selective product selling in UK market ?

Anyone heard anything yet or updates ?

Also , the ISSF is recognizing (2nd paragraph) there is a tussle going on, and at very least , am sure they're keeping an eye on this and will no doubt contact some people in the UK about this palava...

Yes, obviously the Government machine has utterly failed in building a society deemed responsible enough to have poxy little airguns that can shoot semi-auto.
Not happy to have made Brits a laughing stock in the world by totally banning handguns (except for those most likely to attack civilians with them: Crims, Plod and the Military) they now want to even ban puny little 6 ft/lb competition air pistols free to own in civilised countries without problems.
They must be getting really afraid that airgunners will derail their Police-State gravytrain at airgunpoint.

The more restrictions are placed upon me, the less I feel inclined to obey them.

Yes, again I feel your frustrations , as Admin of this forum - we are getting more & more private messages from concerned law abiding UK airgun enthusiasts.

I simply suggest you send all 4X Forum links to your MP, and request & schedule a face to face meeting with that elected representative, to explain your perspective & analysis, as the bigger picture involves , market, trade with Europe, pricing and other matters, like Data Protection Act ;)

Perhaps because of this below ? ;) and quite a few of us, emailing the NSRA about the LP50 ? ...talk about dinosaurs taking time to wake up...

...and to comment on the red underlined statements : We wonder who are the "treacherous people" ? ...and as an educated guess...what happens when these "treacherous people" walk into their own land mine ? - seems pathetic to having to "cut off your own nose to spite the face"
