I've tried many of them. Started with the airsoft ones, the Combro, Shooting Crony Alfa, ProChrono Digital (the best among these) and finally I bought this one:

http://www.btibrands.com/product/ballis ... ograph-g2/

This is the best I ever had, with the integrated light that you can switch on on request, the Bluetooth that sends all the data to the app on your smartphone I don't feel the need to search for another one anymore. :D

Plus I also use it for checking my firearms and it never fails.

Import from USA.
I bought it from Amazon.com but it was more than a year ago.
Maybe now there's a better and cheapest way for having it.

If I'm recalling right, with custom fees and S&H I paid something more than 300,00 Euros.

...Looks good...got some negative feedback points to consider (but both owners still love their product)

credit: http://www.airgunnation.com/topic/balli ... id-or-ios/

"Ok, here goes:

To start off with the bottom line: Great piece of kit!. If you are into getting a chrono of this build type (meaning not a Magnetospeed or a Labradar or a Combro): THIS is the one to get! Builtin LEDs, Display on top (upside down from the conventional built Chrony) (so much easier to read!) STURDY (the machine, not the included tripod), and best of all: a WIRELESS connection to smart devices for extra info.

Positives:

1. Build quality is excellent, much sturdier (thick aluminum posts) and a thousand times better than the old type of chronys, (looking like a V) with the flexible wires holding up a flimsy arc of lights and wires coming out on all sides.
2. LCD display (velocity) is on TOP of the machine instead of on the bottom, so it is very easy to read from your shooting position!
3. Very easy to connect to IOS (iPad/iPhone) Wireless connection !!! (via bluetooth) (don’t know about Android, but most likely similar)
4. App has the option to input your own ammo (type, weight, BC, etc.)
5. App lets you export data
6. you can save shotstrings and you can add a photo to show the target group.

But of course it has (like any other) chrono, some negatives:

1. the “triangle” to shoot through is quite large, but the actual sensor detection space inside that triangle is not so large, so sometimes you get the “error 2 or 3″ if one of the sensors misses the pellet.
2. the software app is more inclined towards firearms, (you can add pellet so it works perfectly with airguns) the screen cannot be user modified to display the info YOU want, and there is a boatload of info to see I don’t care about.
3. There is no way to edit the pellet list afterwards. (meaning if you want to delete an added pellet (if you made a typo) or delete some or all of the default preloaded firearms bullet types, no cannot do.
4. Battery life with the LEDs on is quite short. (like an hour or so) ( the good thing is you can power it via AC or with a powerbank (the one to fieldcharge a smartphone or tablet)
5. the tripod is way to unstable as the mountingpiece (easy disconnect type) is flimsy. It works sort of, but you really need a much beefier one to have the chrono standing solid. (The legs have no inter locking posts to the center pole or each other…)
6. There is no built in graph possibility in the app, you have to export it (via email) and then import it in a PC (or MAC) based spreadsheet program to get it to display graphs.
7. The display on the machine itself shows velocity ONLY, so you need the app (or calculate by yourself with the known weight) to get FPE. (or Joules)
8. On iphone and metric settings the inpput data does not work correctly (as the app only accepts a decimal point (in metric the sign for that is a comma) but there is no point on the keyboard. (on the ipad it works fine, since the screen is so much bigger the keyboard has both keys displayed)
9. App doesn’t calculate min/max/avg Energy (it displays the energy for each shot, and the min/max/avg velocity)
10. There is no easy audible/visual cue on the app that a shot is recorded (like a sound or so) (it shows each shot and it’s energy on a seperate line, so you can see it, but have to look closely, instead of concentrating on the shooting and hearing a “ping” or anything, knowing that the data is recorded.

It looks like a lot more negatives than positives, but that is mostly the software which could be improved (there has not been an update for more than a year, so I think this is it…)
All in all like I said in the beginning: This is THE one to get if you are into the market for this specific (build) type of chrono, so highly recommended!"

...and another review:

"I have G1 and G2. The G2 works well sitting on my table about a 1.5 ft from the barrel. I have to use the led lights most of the time due to the unit being inverted and shading the shot. My G1 I never needed the lights. I have never ran out of charge with it though. I do shoot more than an hour.

I use an android and sometimes/recently (maybe firmware update) it crashes after shooting more than 80 shots (I do this when others want a shot count per fill). I wish it held them in a memory instead stopping and starting over. Also I wish I could merge two together so if it did crash (large count) I could save say 50 shots at a time. Like stated above it would be nice to a have a Caldwell software to easily make a graph. Ya I do it on excel but it would be nice to hit a few buttons and have it do it for me.

My bluetooth always connects, no problem there. Super easy to use app. It comes in a nice soft case. Overall for the price it is good ($150 sale at Cabelas) I use it every time I shoot at the bench. Overall I would recommend it, just giving the negatives I’ve found. Also in the past dealing with Caldwell customer service has been great."

Give one here... will soon find its weaknesses in 10 mins.

One of the worst chronos ever came across the G1 IR and all other chronos pretty much the same, might as well get a more accurate feel through a telephone directory and thats indoors in semi controlled conditions.

Outdoors totally forget it.
If a jobs worth doing, do it right or not at all.
