"Soft-Touch" coating is the stuff used on the Anschutz 8002 S2 Black Air, and the cheek rest of the Steyr CHALLENGE..

See here: http://www.softtouchcoating.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

"Unique soft touch effect:
- TouchIt gives you a unique feeling sensation.
- It is the smoothest soft touch effect ever created.
- More, TouchIt is water borne, without solvents, it is clean and can be used very easily.
- TouchIt is very matt, 2 glosses.
- TouchIt has great chemical and mechanical residences and can be supplied in any color."

AMAZING ! Imagine requesting your gunstocks to be now finished in Soft Touch ! :D :mrgreen:

Soft touch is only a name or it really feels like?

I have the MEC cheek rest that appear in the first Steyr CHALLENGE photos and it improves the grip but it's not soft and with 6 months of use it start to came of, did you tried it?

The stronger that I found is Cerakote (very strong and thin coat) and the softer is Plastidip (rubber feel and removable).

The Soft Touch on the Black 8002 Anschutz is genuinely...like velvet to the touch...(no idea on long term durability & repeated contant use)

The 'Alsacorp' is probably simply a matt super durable finish (no velvet feel) good for industrial use like car paint...

The Alsacorp is the original 'Soft touch' finish, hard, soft to the touch, matt, rubbery velvet like texture. May cars locally have been done in it.

Was going to do an ISP stock in it last year until seen the price approx £160 just for the smallest paint kit plus shipping , import, vat etc.
