Just had 2ltrs delivered £106.80

It is only available clear so would need to prime then paint colour of choice then spray Soft Touch.
Or spray directly over any surface such as the transfers.
If a jobs worth doing, do it right or not at all.

My concern for a colour of choice
Etching primer
Spray colour of choice this could be soft
Spray clear Soft Touch

Would be a hardner finish if sprayed direct on to anodising which this stuff can do, I asked.
On to other materials it would be as soft as the base material or coat.

Plan was a project this month but now on hold until further notice.

Took the plunge on my own rifle after having it stripped and reanodised at a time I couldn't afford to do but had to be done.

On the tins it clearly states its under licence from Milai in Italy the place I was going to order direct from.
Having emailed Milai several times always getting a reply, good sign I was assured cars could be painted and therefore fit for purpose and not to just look at.

Considering the amount of parts and jigging involved in my exercise took me from 8am until 10pm at night with 1 1/2hrs off. Actual spray time 6hrs total waste. Sprayed up to recommendations 10:1 left outside with a breeze to aid drying then other parts brought inside and left over oil filled radiator to speed process up. No differentiation both types of drying had same characteristics, both peeled with barely more than handling.
12pm just starting to build rifle up and greeted with first sign this stuff is absolutely useless if touched. I screwed end plug in to cylinder by hand and ripped off the soft touch just leaving the orange anodise. Looked real bad so finger nail scraped the rest off.

Tightening screws up sees this stuff disperse like a liquid leaving a white rim.
I couldn't even assemble rifle without wearing off this junk, looks like skin peeling after too much sun.

So far done one 30 shot course, palm shelf 1/3 worn off but pistol grip is fine being on mdf.
Must also say this soft touch is not like the Anchutz Black Air which really do feel velvety and soft to the touch without being too grippy. At best this Milai is barely velvety with just a hint of rubbery feel.

I may be wrong but think this could be the stuff Volkswagon used on the dash switches some years back, they all peeled customers went ape.

On the positive side the only thing I can think of its water based so easy to clean the spray gun out.

Three days on its just as soft as it was early hours of Saturday morning.
I did leave rifle outside for 6hrs yesterday still no change easily peels.

Leads me to think what can this stuff be used for.
Interior decorators use this stuff neat no hardner on walls, do they not expect people to clean items sprayed.
One part I used a bit of paint on is a walnut handled knife I use for deburring aluminium, that's fine because I haven't touched it since it was done and about sums this crap up.

Just an update the soft touch has not got any harder and just as liable to peeling as initially done.
I phoned Wicked last Thursday and still waiting for return of call how to get this crap off without using finger nail.

In fairness, no they have my number and i haven't time to mess about.
I seen a friend of the companies at Weston and asked him to have a word, still no reply.

Looks like to remove this stuff soak in water a minute, then either scratch an unbroken area that hasn't lifted or peeled off, then get air line on at 120psi+
Most of it comes out of inaccessible crevices with the odd poke with a nail.

Bottom line ?

This PRODUCT can NOT be recommended (Not Wicked Coatings - were talking about the specific brand product , and not the company)

NB: at IWA 2015, I'll speak to Anschutz, twist some arms, and get the brand name of their SoftTouch
