#1 Pellet Density

Ever wondered about shooting 99.99% pure silver or 24K gold 4.5mm /0.177 pellets ?

Well, if I read this correct, Gold, would only need roughly 400 FPS, as Gold is twice the density of lead - to get roughly 11.5 ft/lb or 16 Joules.

Silver is only roughly 10% ligther than lead...so 720 FPS is about right...

So, in terms of accuracy - I just wonder

HOWEVER, I think FAC power levels would be the most revealing in terms of "punch" and accuracy. The idea of A10 Warthog 30mm depleted uranium bullets come to mind ;) on the gatling gun..

Just wondering - what kind of findings for 0.22 / 0.25 / 0.30 / .35 etc.. at 50 100 & 200 yards at 50 / 150 /200 Joules power levels

and final experiment - a cocktail of metals ...to make the worlds best & most accurate pellet at varying weights > To match a variety of velcoties, from constant 700FPS to 770FPS ???? No doubt a tin of 200 would cost £200 :o  or £10 to USD$15 per pellet. If the trade off is not more than 15% , then no point in getting JSB to melt that CSFB Au .999 Fine Gold 37.5gr block of gold...

OK.
How about Titanium ? .. tungsten spring to mind as we use to use that in armour piercing rounds with spectacular results, but I think something that hard would soon mess up your barrel.
