What? 2600 Euro????
For that money I would buy an Walther LG400 Anatomic. Has a laminate stock as well and has proven itself for accuracy and reliability.
The 2600 Euro price tag of the Ataman would surely be met by the Walther Anatomic when you order it without diopter sights
(see http://hasselhorst.de/?seite=lieferprogramm&kategorie=6 ) .
I think these Russians are asking top money for a design that has not proven anything yet.

You're right Sven
For that kind of money, a new to sport or experienced comp shooter should pick any of the top other makes.
BUT, if that is the Russian pricing - well , there is no alternative *IF* that model must be in a collector's cabinet (if that collector already has a full bursting to the ceiling 25+ air rifles of those 4 Teutonic brands )
Having said that, there are plenty of experienced FT comp shooters who fancy a brand change now and then; perhaps this would be low in their list when considering a change; too many unknown variables. And when sold onward, done at a 30% to 50% loss...
Which is why I decided to pick up a couple of Nikko HMD at mega discount yesterday ; a far better 'investment' to boot

Aha what is this? Prices have dropped now this Russian has gotten himself a British visa:
1900 GBP / 2250 Euro for the Daystate Tsar
That's a better price, but the Russian still has to prove itself in FT.
Read that Pepone from Spain has been shooting the M2 with good success over the past year. This might be an indication that this new player could be a stayer at the FT scene.

NB: Picatiny on action block is what sets also the ATAMAN apart from Dovetail Daystate

I do too having mulled over it... in fact am 90% certain this is my next wall-hanger BUT with a carbon barrel sleeve and perhaps a Mick T. titanium cylinder to boot...with of course the obligatory Sightron in black & red Warne mounts; that is unless NeilM 's feedback handling the rifle at the Euros tells us something not quite right & too much £ to sort out trigger 1st stage..BenGun wrote:Think I prefer the Ataman

...this one is "customised" by Alexey Soldatov (I think) because it has the dark grey titanium anodise or cerakote finish (not sure which is which - but will ask at IWA 2017), and there is the option of having a CZ barrel as well as the LW (or have both).
