Pictorial - from concept, to wood sample for stock shape, wood covered in in paint/lacquer, then carbon fibre stock...and from bolt to side lever, to today's shooters around the world having this beast...
Carl Boswell (UK) has a few in 2015 , some in South-Africa from a few years back, and 1 Philippines owner...(the carbon fibre stock versions)
For FT, It would have to be a creme de la creme 'A. Soldatov Tuned' 4.5mm 16J BR , side lever action on that ATAMAN Field Target stock....now that would be the Daystate killer
NB: BR model was recently exported & bought in USA ; I assume to cut $ costs down, the BR model is available in wood stock version instead of carbon, and black anodise & bare barrel... > http://pimpmyairgun.com/viewtopic.php?f=181&t=1720

A Casio watch can be had for €100
A Rolex watch starts at €4000
Both tell the time and of course no one is forced to buy either; both tell the time.
Same thing with cars. Take an Audi or Merc then configure more options. Base € price is ok, but you end paying way too much for all the options. Worth it ? No to some, yes to others. And you have option to buy 2nd hand with full options which is better value...
Price is simply what the market is willing to pay. Relative to quality, performance etc...the market then makes or breaks that product. Ie: Sells successfully or fails miserably.
Upto shopper to decide what is best for them
Best value for F class 4.5mm 16 Joules air rifle ? My personal opinion based on budget - Air Arms MPR.
Do I have this gun ? No.
Am sure for your groupings you're very proud to achieve what you have. Its very good. And impressive for the gun you have.
Dont worry about how overpriced items are; its a fact of life.
ATAMAN have some track record; check price in Russia of this versus $3500 , then you begin to understand where profits are being made.
Last point - the carbon stock alone would, I guess cost at minimum $2000.
So there you go; whats better value for the casual shooter or extreme competitor ? A wood stock or a carbon stock ?
Plenty to think about when calculating a budget to buy an item...
PS: What do you think the price in Euro should be at shop for:
a) Carbon stock version
b) Wood stock version ?
Also, please see this: http://armasayala.com/gb/air-compressed ... arget.html
When launched in Spain, cost Euro2500 ; then price dropped for short period to Euro 2000 and I buy it. Now back up to Euro2047.
In UK > http://www.solware.co.uk/daystate-tsar GBP1900 = Euro 2135
If you know Pepone - please ask him his opinion ... > viewtopic.php?f=181&t=1704
See in Russia > https://airhunt.ru/ataman/ > most expensive model is Ru. 133,000 = Euro 1960. I think Olympic 10m shooters would prefer of course- Walther LG400, Anschutz 9015, or Feinwerkbau800 over this.
but the price is the price..
