Digi did say in his post F Class Air.
There are many airgun shooters doing F Class shooting out to 100 yards even 100 meters using 12/Ft/Lbs.
It's taken a while to catch on ( even the Guru is Gavin a go, I told him he'd like it ).
You don't have to have a mega powerful air rifle to shoot that distance.
The biggest drawback in the UK if finding the space to shoot that distance.
We also don't use wind indication markers , shoot from all positions .
12 Ft/Lbs does make it much more challenging.
Ben.

True the Dutch have been at the top of the game for many years but shoot indoors and high power.

A few weeks ago a member shot 75 yards and hit 7 within 1" other three just outside that. In uncontrolled conditions exposed to the elements some were lucky to land within 6" diameter. Slightest of breezes takes it more than 1" at that range. First 50 yard we did was head wind 12-18mph, hard to detect which side to aim except for the heavy rain drops.
We are only doing it informally no specialist kit just what we use to do FT competitions, no Farley rests some even sit or do it off a wobbly table.

Should be having another go tomorrow after we have shot and fetched the course in and Shaun on here likes it.

Got a brand new JH Anchutz 9015 up and running so thought I would blat a few shots off at 50 yards, what better way than this.
Running 6J reg pressure as Anchutz sent and un touched unadjusted hammer tension voila 780 with 8.4gr.

Not much wind in fact a drift but moved the pellets a lot considering. In general 2nd FP at 30 mag equated to roughly 2 dots of aim off windage. That can be seen on the bottom left two sighters, aim point smack on.
A few went right 1/2" and with aiming off scored in next box right no 8 but did get away with one 2nd row shot again no 7 and got a 10. So frustrating some were experiencing severe pellet drop in to box below plus wind.
2nd place the actual rifle used to shoot International 50 yard Bench Rest up to two years ago for England.

Any air rifle can be used at 15.4Joules / 11.5 ft/lb in F class air for 25m / 50m

I agree , more power is need for 100m air rifles, and even larger calibers...

Unfortunately in UK, maximum (Free) is 15.4Joules - therefore 25meter / 50meter

Competitively for more power and larger caliber in UK, not many get "FAC" license for an air rifle benchrest. (Big Bore airguns are almost non-existent in UK and no interest - you will rarely see a UK owner; but listed otherwise under "FAC" - Fire Arms Certificate" listing with other powder guns in other forums).

I have seen back several years the Dutch Masters of this event > BIG BORE air rifles for 100m  > http://www.100mairgun.nl/

My Holland's friend is a fantastic man, he help me testing the 100m targets and it's very competitive!!!!!!!

Massive difference high power .22 or larger at 100M is more like sub 12ft/lb at 40 yards.
Virtually no comparable wind drift at even far lesser power levels, just an extra 75ft/sec can knock off 120mm wind drift at 50 yards to a mere 10mm wind drift.
