"Benefits of Titanium
Yes, Titanium is cool, but there really are many reasons you should consider scope bases or rings made from this amazing alloy.

Physical Properties:
Approximately three times stronger than 6061 Aircraft aluminum.
45% lighter than carbon steel, while being just as strong.
Incredibly corrosion resistant. Titanium is routinely used for seawater applications where stainless steels have failed.
Titanium has a very low coefficient of thermal expansion, so point of impact shifts will not occur due to scope base growth under varying temperature conditions. (Severe problem with aluminum bases)

Practical Benefits:
Our titanium scope bases weigh on average 50% of what our stainless steel scope bases weigh. If you are building a target or benchrest rifle where weight classes are an issue, one of our titanium bases can save you as much as 4 oz. That is 4 oz. of larger scope, or 4 oz. of heavier barrel or receiver than your competitors."

Why pay exorbitant money for a non industry standard made item. You wont find a spec for Weaver as there is non.
Have seen weaver rails as wide as 36mm and only 20mm no mount will fit correctly, anything goes its weaver.

Piccy above looks like its got a right flat/radius that should be razor sharp or under cut for alignment. It needs that for any chance of repeatability as it purely relies on the two 45 degree angles and sharp rail edge only with a gap over the top of mount.
Picatinny/Stanag only use the underside two 45 degree angles to pull down on to top castellations ie hell of a lot more rigid marginally better than a properly cut deep 60 degree dovetail.
The only industry standards are Picatinny known as Milspec or MOD 1913, Europe Stanag which just adds a couple more dimensions as Third Eye are.

Noticed for many years those that don't specify Picatinny are almost certainly weaver and in general looks like 80% of mounts are just that with no conformity.

You would know about it if the mounts were from steel soon got rid of my Leupold 30mm shallow quick release rings. Titanium around 50-60% less than steels call it half the heavy weight. Titanium weighs around 63% more than aluminium so all thicknesses would need thinning down to get same weight, above are just left over long unrelieved.

Spot the difference Picatinny

I agree with him.
I think.
He hates me , because I always ask for picatinny Scope rails when Jon does my rifles , I don't use out else.
Once there on there on and won't budge , probably WAY over the top for an air gun , but what the heck , picatinny served me well in the services , so I ain't changing.

Picatinny are alright just done the last two rails and would need a trained eye to notice the difference.
Purely my point is everyone calls for weaver an old US mounting that never had an approved spec. Look at things that are sold quite a few call them 20mm no way will clamp up unless mount or rail similar sizing.

Safe rule take nothing for granted, if it doesn't state picatinny leave well alone.
Unfortunately that probably means around 80% of whats produced.

Branded known to be weaver:-
Leupold
Sportsmatch
Weaver
Murphy
