#1 Fwb 800X from Italy

The 800 pimping process is not over but it's time to test it in the field.

Here's my Fein with some custom made parts. The most important is the riser that I designed myself, with rock solid rings. You can also see a custom made 3D printed resettable turret, a Garima magnetic wheel, a custom made 3D printed windicator, an adapter for mounting 50mm Leup flip open onto a 45mm competition, a Rianov can't/Slope indicator and a Brian Samson's Competition Hook.
What you can't see is a custom made 3d printed Air stripper inside the muzzle and a 3D printed handrest hidden by the grass.

Still missing is the hamster, the project is ready, one button operation, but I'm waiting for the real pieces to be made and tested.

Enough boring you, here it is.

Looks great.

How well does it perform?

The looks are great. Congratulations on that. Nice scope rail and mounts.
I see it's an 10 meter version of the FWB800X because it shows the F in a pentagon sign. Is it still on 7,5 Joule?
And if not how did you increase the power to FT level?

Thanks, Sven.

The Guru has suggested to me that it is better to convert a10m rifle to 16J rather than try and stabilise the POI shifts of the FT version.

I would really REALLY like to see a FWB in the flesh / metal.

Whoah !

What do I like in design ? that Scope Rail :o  :)

Its lines take from the same angle as the front triangular fore end part...and recessed top rail with custom scope rings ??

Coolio mate ! Stunner overall package. Bellisima...like my Italian wife :D

NB: Please Private Message me - I need to urgently place an order for X 2 of the scope rails. Molto Grazie....

PPS: The overall package..look, presentation..IMHO...THIS IS THE FERRRARI 448 of Feinwerkbau 800 "Pimps" !

Hey Peter... thanks for your appreciation.
Your words made me very proud for the hard work done, and your comparison with an italian myth made me speechless :D :D :D

Plus we have two things in common... a passion for FWB and... an italian wife

@Sven and NeilM
It's a 10m 7.5 joule version. Here in Italy the FT competition have a separate category for rifles not exceeding 7.5 joules, that can be owned without permission.
Airguns with a power of 16 joules (12 ft/l) requires a FAC permit (here is called TAV).
Now it performs very well but it needed some "cures" in the regulator, a hammer replacement etc. Kind of things you'd really not expect from a 3000 Euro match rifle. :ugeek:

Roberto, I think the The Guru (Jon) would agree with you about the work that has to be done.

I know we all like to pimp our rifles, that's what the whole web site is about, and I also know that once done the FWB 800 is a superb FT rifle, but I am left wondering why a manufacturer as long established and experienced as FWB end up selling a rifle which is just not right for the job.

Still, if all rifles were perfect out of the box, we would have nothing to mess around with.
