#1 Steyr Bullpup Complete
Its finished and I love shooting it, I have put a lot of thought into it and have put a bit of a write up on the BBS, lots of adjustment, comfortable, great trigger, unadulterated action.....looks cool
...the barrel shoots, the stock hits the target...

I saw your write up on the BBS, that's an impressive conversion... you could find yourself being right popular with Steyr owners.

Got some spare time so some more pics for those interested:
These will hopefully allow any like minded tinkerers to see how I did it
Plan to modify the hamster as its too sharp/angular, I have a preference for function over form (my competition rifle is fugly) so we will see
I have had another play with it today and have to say kneelers are definitely easier, stander's are marginally better and surprisingly prone is almost the same as a full length rifle.

Not bad at all Lol, certainly looks better than that ugly muther I did some years back.
Reckon that method of trigger to blade better than the one I did on ball and sockets.
One point you've missed though, butt length non adjustable.

If a jobs worth doing, do it right or not at all.

Wow....well I love to tinker, I would never want to sell anything I do, the more innovative the better, just like to create - I was asked at weekend (at a HFT comp) why bother - what sort of a question is that
After thinking about it, the answer is simply bragging rites and to get praise from my peers, to that end I usually post on the BBS (sometimes STB) and I smile massively when some posts "love it"
However, to get praise from someone of the stature of Jon H really is praise indeed I have come over all warm.
Anyway, the bullpup project was driven around my dimensions so doesn't have masses of adjustment, the critical dimensional relationships are copied from my competition rifle. There is movement in the pistol grip and trigger but as the cheek position is fixed I fixed the butt plate, difficult to shorten but could pack it to lengthen I suppose.
The bullpup is old hat now and it has morphed into the shrouded semi-pup with my new NXS, which gets the scope low and does have much more adjustment, have used it the last few weeks and so far it feels close to spot on
Needs Anodising and some laminate I think
