"Well after a few years of think about get an LG 400 and converting it 12 ftp I've finally done it.I've all so made a smaller cocking arm and reworked a rail to fit.
Now I'm left handed so I had to get a right handed rifle as a 3 month wait was just to long for me so I had to make a full set of laminate parts that was fun.
I've removed the gauge and fitted a Daystate quick fill as when I had a Dominator removing the cylinder every time to refill was a pain.
So is it ok to leave the cylinder fitted to the rifle or would it be better to remove it?"

Thank you for posting this for me. I'll add some more information on the conversion when I get back from shooting it to day.
I may even tell you about the really nice tool I was making to split the reg body and how well it looked right up to the point I snapped an m6 tap in it.

Yes it is the original end plug as I've taken it out of it's original specification it will not be filled to it's rated pressure of 300 bar and will be filled to 200 bar.

The plug wall was 6.20 mm thick which gave me 6 1/2 threads. I've fitted a 1/2" diameter brass cap on the back of the quick fill with a 1.5 mm hole on the side to reduce the flow as I don't want to flash fill the cylinder.
This type of adapter also needs the valve to have a set amount of travel to open and close so the brass cap was needed for the valve to work correctly.
Safety was the first thing on my mind when I did this mod to the cylinder so I used every thread on the adapter and removed only enough material to tap the plug for 1/8 bsp and no more.
Walther have been making them to this spec on the steel cylinders as well only the OD is different it has an m27 thread with a 1.5 pitch and the aluminium cylinder has a m26 with 1.5 pitch thread.

Sorry! I've just measured the plug for the steel cylinders and it's m28. I've checked my sizes for the aluminium cylinder and they are m27 both have 1.5 pitch.

Good lad doing it right seen some that are not.
Must have junked in the clean out in Jan the older Walther gauges that had a copper hollow shaft approx. 3mm dia, just peened over inside end plug.

The 1 I've just done was a one piece brass base plate with just over 3mm tube which I thought was a press fit.Cheap way of doing it really but they have to keep the cost down or we'd never buy them ,
