Steyr LP 50 HP (Non UK Models)

I have been wanting a power-boosted LP50 for a long time, to my big surprise it's now readily available as OEM!

LP50HP - 14J / 10.3 ft-lb

LP50HP C - 12J / 8.85 ft-lb

I'd imagine a HP Compact would look really good together with my H5A Scout.

I could not resist no more, had to get one of these! Ordered the Compact, but the mailman came with the regular one - well I'm not going to send it back now.

Find it a bit strange that this high power version is marked with the F inside a pentagram? A quick chrony sessions shows that it is shooting the 8.44gr JSBs at 660 (11j) a little weak compared to the advertised 14 joule.

I'll report back once I had a chance to test it out properly.

Indeed the F is out of place...I think they must just grab any semi finished block off the production line and add the higher output reg and presto...done...

I stand corrected, the vendor I bought the guns from is sending me the Compact and a return label today. Let's see how this goes regarding import taxes and such, would hate to pay 2x25% VAT..

Firing these off is like taking 3 or 5 shots before needing to replace the cylinder..

I think the standard length is best bet, but alternatively you can fire the standard length air cylinder fitted to the shorter air pistol...

NB: a possibility if to convert a carbon fibre air tank, carry onself like a small back pack, with wire braided hose linked to to an adaptor situated at mid point (between reg and air cylinder for better hold & balance) so that way you have an unlimited air supply, and just load up on 50 mags - this back pack portable air supply contraption has added benefit - can also be used for the Steyr Scout, when you're deep in the Norwegian woods miles from nowhere
