Adjusting the steyr regulator can be done much much easier than changing the order of the belleville washers:

Open up screw number 3 (in the nozzle where the cylinder is screwed on) and a brass screw shows up: turning left increases the pressure and right decreases pressure. Adjust it per 1/8 of a turn to find the rough pressure you need and then finetune it.

Yes, there is a fine ajustment possible with this screw 3, but is limited to approx 5 bar :

And the order of Belleville washer is not good for 16 joules, this version is for 24 joules (120 bar pressure) :

For a good adjustement for 16 joules = eight washer is only necessary, in this order (approx 85 bar pressure) :

With this order of the belleville washers I can adjust my reg inbetween about 115 bar and 145 bar. And for all pressures it consistent.

For around 85 bar the order is indeed as you've described.

Good air filled guage Alpazen, i run out of them decades ago, used to have them off the oxy acetylene guages. They will be inaccurate though some read high some read low +-4 bar.

Worst of the lot are them cheap and nasty worthless Flowfit glycerine filled, first link from Admin. Ok if only treating as comparison, had about 8 of them non remotely accurate the one just fetched off reg checker read 8.8 BAR high. What registered 106bar was actually 97.2bar, could do a better job without and guessing.

To get any accuracy within 1% you have to pay big bucks. The cheapies are not worth having calibrated at over £50 plus postage a pop.
Its also the other reason fitted to rifles they can read massively high or low just the job when guage says 200bar and theres 240bar gone in, most if not all (98%) cylinders are not rated at that, typical example AA seen quite a few go at 235bar and sub 250bar. Aluminium theres no warning like in steel that will expand.

Hi Jon, I'm ok with you, we have all time an approx measure but if this one is it consistent and regular this does not cause too much problem for use, after more controls I have an acceptable measure with the original pressure test Steyr :

And for a control of best precision I use a 63mm glycerine filled Wika, the same that there is in the laboratory of the CERN to Geneva, but for sure, the price is not the same.
